With contagious optimism, Carrie Olsen Garrard launched her first formal artistic venture about 15 years ago. It was the discovery of silicone molding compound that gave such hope to the enthusiastic sculptor, compelling her to show her work. The San Francisco wholesale gift market was the first to premier the original casts of garden statuary created by Olsen Garrard. With husband, Ian, a constant force for courage and support, the adventure began.

Working with key manufacturers like Enesco, and Wine Things Unlimited, the transition from manufacturer to licensed artist... was the perfect option for the time. Free to focus on design and development of new projects, proved powerful, as Carrie was then able to show her prowess in various mediums. Probably the most popular category of Carrie's work remains her ceramic tabletop collections. Inspired by the beauty of the Napa Wine Country surroundings, an entire category of wine related themes burst onto the scene following Carrie's original works.
